2015 Pennsylvania Farm Show Set to Open Eight-Day Celebration

Pennsylvania is proud to celebrate agriculture at the 99th Pennsylvania Farm Show, the largest indoor agricultural exposition in the nation.

This year marks the 99th Pennsylvania Farm show, which will celebrate the state’s $7.5 billion agriculture industry on Saturday, January 9, 2015 in Harrisburg.

The Pennsylvania Farm Show is an eight-day long celebration that is recognized as the largest indoor agriculture exposition in the nation. With nearly 6,000 animals, 10,000 competitive exhibits and 300 commercial exhibits, the state is proud to host such a popular event each year.

This year’s show will feature both new and returning attractions. Attendees of all ages are invited to participate in the first Farm Show Ag Olympics on Saturday, Jan. 10 at 4 p.m. in the Equine Arena. Participates will compete for unique prizes while testing their agriculture skills and knowledge at each of the ten available stations. Farm show learning stations will also be open for young visitors to explore different areas of the agriculture industry, learn about the parts of a tractor, have the opportunity to experience the tractor amusement ride and more.

The annual Parade of Agriculture will begin during opening ceremonies on Saturday and occur across the arena. Other returning show attractions will include the Celebrity Cow Milking Contest, Square Dance Contests, Celebrity Grape Stomp, Farm Show Detectives and much more.

The farm show will take place in the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center, located at 2300 N Cameron St. in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The event is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, January 9 through January 16 and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. January 17. Admission is free.
